August 15, 2019: Prof. Fohtung joins the Materials Science and Engineering Department of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy New York as an Associate Professor.

April 10, 2019: Prof. Fohtung presents the group’s latest results as an invited seminar at the Division of Synchrotron Radiation, of the Physics Department at Lund University, Sweden.  Prof. Edwin Fohtung presents the groups latest results in as an invited talk titled “X-ray mapping of Topological Relics of Symmetry Breaking in Ferroics using Coherent X-ray Probes. This research project is generously funded by the  DOD AFOSR.

March 28, 2019, Our article titled ” Bragg Coherent Diffractive Imaging of Strain at the Nanoscale” is published in the Journal of Applied Physics.

March 18, 2019: Prof. Fohtung presents the group’s latest results as an invited talk at the Institute for Photon Science (IPS), of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Karlsruhe Germany  (03.18.2019).  Prof. Edwin Fohtung presents the groups latest results in as an invited talk titled ” X-ray Nanovision of Ferroic Phases in Multiferroics. This research project is generously funded by the  DOD AFOSR.

March 10-14, 2019, Dmitry Karpov presented our group research as an invited oral talk (titled “Three-dimensional imaging of vortex phase in ferroic materials”) at the TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition Symposium on Characterization of Materials through High-Resolution Imaging held in San Antonio, TX.
